Labor Law Violation – $925,000 Settlement for Construction Worker who Fell from Ladder
A 33-year-old laborer fell from an unsecured ladder inside of a boiler room during the course of his employment. With the assistance of Labor Law Lawyers from Antin, Ehrlich, and Epstein, the worker obtained a settlement of $925,000 as compensation for his injuries from the negligence at the worksite. The plaintiff sustained cervical herniations which necessitated multiple epidurals, and eventually resulted in the surgical implantation of a permanent spinal cord stimulator.
Jeffrey S. Antin, Esq., settled the case for $925,000 plus a significant reduction of the workers’ compensation lien after being awarded partial summary judgment on the issue of liability based upon defendant’s violation of the Labor Law.
