The New York Times (4/26, Rojas, 17.3M) reports the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, in “one of the largest disclosures that has been made by the church,” recognized on Friday “115 priests and five deacons who have been accused of sexually abusing a child.” The acknowledgments have assisted with “illuminating the scope of an epidemic of sex abuse in the Catholic Church that has spurred investigations by law enforcement officials and inflamed a crisis of confidence among many of its followers.” The Wall Street Journal (4/26, West, Subscription Publication, 7.06M) reports that the list solely discloses clergy members which the Archdiocese formally employed
